On April 24, 2025, USPI members and other interested parties gathered at LyondellBasell's Rotterdam headquarters for the USPI Member Board and to discuss critical issues surrounding data interoperability, standardization, and the challenges faced by stakeholders in the Owner/Operator and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) sectors. The meeting brought together representatives from major companies to share insights.

Summary of FL3DMS FTF Meeting 2025

Last week, industry leaders gathered in-person for the FL3DMS Face-to-Face (FTF) meeting, hosted by USPI. Members from across the energy, engineering, and digital solutions sectors came together to refine and advance the FL3DMS standard – shaping the standard for the way 3D data is structured, shared, and handed over across the asset lifecycle. 

With representatives from TotalEnergies, Shell, McDermott, Aker Solutions, Fluor, Wood PLC, TechnipEnergies, Gizil, Hexagon, Aveva, ReVision, Mitosis Digital Technologies, xclerate and USPI’s standardization partners IOGP, Standards Norway and DEXPI,  the working group made significant progress on Release 1.3, which is scheduled for Q4 2025.
