Over 30 years of experience in research, education and consultancy for the industry. Active mainly in the areas of business and production process design and simulation together with the implementation of supporting automation from sensor to boardroom to optimize the processes and safeguard them. Has a drive for object oriented implementation of systems based on standards. Over his career gained experience in project sales, design and execution, education program design, business development, and working with people in teams.

Over 30 years of experience in design, realisation and maintenance of infrastructural work. Mostly being responsible for the integral design of mechanical engineering, energy technology and process automation.

Project Information Manager responsible for all project systems and data. Closely involved in the development of ISO 15926 and CFIHOS. Fellow information Management, an international title for technical expertise at Fluor.

Technology strategy professional with commercial drive and strong change management skills. Deep knowledge of the utilities and energy sectors. Hands on experience in project execution, contracting, asset operations and maintenance processes.

 Worked for Shell from 1974 – 1998 in process design, plant automation, energy conservation, refinery and supply economics, business training in manufacturing, strategic advice and refinery management. Since 1998 he is director of USPI. In this capacity he works with industry associations, project groups, ISO committees, universities and institutions.

 
 

 Elbert van der Bijl

After being graduated as a chemical engineer, more than 20 years of experience in the Industrial Automation industry. Worked intensively with End Users and EPC contractors in the (petro)chemical and oil&gas industry and has been active in technology marketing within Yokogawa in Europe for many years. Worked together with the IOGP Standards subcommittee for Instrumentation & Automation, the PCIC Europe and the CFIHOS project and USPI before becoming a board member.

Vincent Grondman

Process and ICT 



Studied Educational Science with a focus on learning strategies and ICT.
Has an educational degree in engineering and worked as a technology teacher for a secondary school. Since 2017 working for USPI and focuses on analyzing and improving business and ICT processes and Information Management in USPI.
