CFIHOS Overview
CFIHOS
“In 2012 Shell approached process industry standards organization USPI to convert their own Engineering Information Standard (EIS) into an industry standard and later to an ISO standard for the process industries supply chain and software suppliers.
USPI accepted this task and from 2012 to 2019 USPI members and stakeholders from the information and data supply chain, worked together to create and develop the Capital Facilities Information HandOver Specification (CFIHOS) .
The CFIHOS standard was created with the necessary maintenance. As a result, in October 2019 Version 1.4 of the CFIHOS Standard was published and is now being implemented in many companies. .
In order to assure further growth of the CFIHOS project and its growing number of supporting members In January 2020 Governance of the CFIHOS project was transferred to International Association of Oil and Gas Producers, where its development continues.
And IOGP have agreed to establish a collaboration agreement which will ensure the CFIHOS project will benefit from existing and growing knowledge in USPI.
